Jim Osmond (left), and Jack Jones (right), both passed their
Private Pilot Checkride in October! Also,
congratulations to instructor Tim Gladson on being hired by Skyways
Airlines to fly a Beech 1900! We have seen a few changes in the last
month. With Tim moving on, we have Nick Scholtes and Andy Smith
doing quite a bit of instructing…. Sadly, the restaurant has closed.
We have been told it will reopen, but no date has been set. The runway
will be shorter for a while, as the first 600 feet of the south end now
has chevrons and the lights have been moved to mark the new threshold of
36. One thousand feet will be added, and the projected completion date will
be next July or August….. Congratulations to club member and owner of
N66964 Ron Dippner on his recent marriage!
He wants to keep the plane close to his new home, however, so it will not
be available for leaseback. We still have C-172 N7297Q and are very
excited about our new leaseback Diamond Eclipse, owned by Scott Doorn! Come out and give it a
try! … anyone interested in a Private Pilot groundschool, or have any interesting topics for a
seminar? Let Cindy know….
